Abstract
Identifying the reasons for nontraumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is important, though it can be challenging on computed tomographic angiography (CTA), especially tiny aneurysms in unusual locations. Aneurysms of the anterior inferior cerebellar artery within the internal acoustic canal (intrameatal aneurysms) are rare. Most previous cases have presented with SAH combined with seventh and/or eighth cranial nerve symptoms. As a result, familiarity with some distinctive clinical symptoms may facilitate the localization of the aneurysm on CTA. We report a case of a ruptured intrameatal aneurysm presenting with sudden dizziness and temporary unilateral hearing loss that underwent angiography to confirm the final diagnosis.
