Abstract
Widely usage of social and information networks stimulates the big data analysis for ground-breaking applications in various areas. We discuss a recently proposed approach on data analysis, called communication theoretic data analysis, which uses communication theoretic tools on inference problem, specifically comes to the fore with discovering the structure of data. In this work, we will initially describe the main intuition of this analogous communication channel setup and equalizer. Thereafter introduce applications of widely accepted information fusion methods, over equalized signals, in communication theory. Since we deal with multiple sources,identification of active sources is studied in the following by extending the problem into multi-user communication scenario.
