Abstract
The nonlinear current-voltage (I-V) behavior and the electric-pulse-induced resistance change in the Nd0.7Ca0.3MnO3 polycrystalline sample are investigated. The I-V curves of the Nd0.7Ca0.3MnO3 sample change from linear to nonlinear behavior at temperatures below the charge ordering (CO) temperature (TCO∼200 K). A reproducible and stable resistance switching is observed within the nonlinear regime. The high and low resistance states can be controlled by the applied pulsed voltage as low as ±3 V and the two-step resistive state persists up to 5000 pulses. © 2006 Elsevier B.V.
