Abstract
In order to improve mobile communication coverage and quality on THSR (Taiwan High Speed Rail), a system design and integration between communication equipments on THSR and base stations alongside the high speed railway must be implemented. First, acquire current signal coverage holes, bad quality areas or other quality issues along the high speed railway using RSV (Radio Site Verification) instruments. Next, based on the RSV data and "Link Budget" concept, design a repeater and leakage cable hybrid feasible system that installed on railway carriage to compensate the signal path loss due to high speed movement and railway carriage. Finally, configurations and parameters of base stations alongside THSR must be modified and tuned for enhancing signal strength and quality in order to provide smooth circuit and packet switch service for subscribers.
