Abstract
This experiment uses different fuel after premixed and emulsified to make the multicomponent fuel, then we apply Ink-Jet Printing method to generate the free droplets, into the combustion chamber freely and observe the characteristics of combustion : ignition delay, burning time, flame shrinkage, explosion and burning rate. In the first part of experiment, we use diesel, Bio-diesel, methanol and ethanol in the different droplet size respectively, to observe the characteristics of combustion. In the second part, we use olive oil, grapeseed oil, soybean oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, ethanol and water to mix with bio-diesel and diesel respectively, then observe the characteristics of premixture and discuss the effect of combustion from different physical property of multicomponent fuel.rom the experiment, we find when the more difference of temperature about fuel’s boiling point and combustion chamber, and the less distinction of ignition delay. For multicomponent, we find the reason why it’s affecting the ignition delay and flame shrinkage is because the distinguish of fuel’s boiling point and the proportion of multicomponent, that will affect the burning rate.
