Abstract
The purpose of this project is to study the nonlinear response of equipment fixed on the light-weight partition wall. For to get material properties of light-weight partition wall, the center-point flexure test is used to establish the stress-strain curve. In addition, the static and dynamic nonlinear responses of the medical equipment fixed on the light-weight partition wall, the shake table tests and static load tests are adopted in National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering (NCREE). In order to understand the failure behavior of the light-weight partition wall, the numerical models of the light-weight partition wall and the equipment are modeled using finite element analysis. In this study, theses numerical simulation analysis and experimental results are compared. It can be shown that the ultimate bearing capacity of light-weight partition walls are known, and can be demonstrated the accuracy of the numerical models.
