Abstract
This thesis takes Kaohsiung MRT O5 station for research object that adopts FDS (Fire model simulation software) and SIMULEX (Evacuation modelling software) as research tools. This thesis focuses on the Smoke Compartments, the depth of the Smoke Curtains and the operation mode of the smoke dampers that were designed to O5 station, and then brings up the assessment of feasibility and the methods to improve.
If O5 station has a Mechanical desmoke system and sprinklers simultaneously, we can observe that at the beginning of fire accident the occupants can obtain the large clear passages to evacuate.
Furthermore, O5 station has only a Mechanical desmoke system (no sprinkler) and operates it on the standard mode. It still provides the tenable environment for the occupants.
Finally, this research recommends the proprietor of Kaohsiung MRT O5 station to apply to the interrelated government institutions for no assembling sprinkler in O5 station under safe and economical consideration.
