Abstract
In this paper, a simple new reversal technique with the laser diode and quadrant sensor on spindle accuracy test is developed. The principle and the calibration method of the quadrant sensor are described. The laser diode with the built-in battery is employed with the quadrant sensor for the application of the spindle accuracy test without limitation of test runs. With this method, no error separation technique for the spindle accuracy is needed.
