Abstract
The authors' thoughts of Shichi and Hanshu are intensively
concentrated on the parts of comments on history. If the same historical
events are described in both books, we can compare the contents and
comments to show each author's difference. This kind of comparative
studies will be more precise than the impressive description style in the
past.
Furthermore, instead of the earlier comparison between two authors
usually put more emphersis on who is the better one, this paper will try
to emphersize each author's important and valuable historical ideas

without discrimination, although they are different. Thus, it can offer
a new research point of view as a reference to the thoughts of Ssu
Ma-chien and Ban Ku, and the history of Han Dynasty.
