Abstract
The contactless smart card is a new ticketing medium used in public transport. Besides increase customer convenience, it could decrease operation cost.
The objective of this research is to analyze the benefits to MRT passengers and operators by using contactless smart card, compare before and after utilizing and cost-effective analysis of four scenarios: combination of magnetic stripe card and contactless smart card ;All Automatic fare collection system adopt IC technology(IC Token and contactless smart card);IC fare technology with〝proof of payment〞 system; longterm MRT network effect forecasting using contactless smart card progroam.
