Abstract
In the fiscal year of 2002, a total budget of 39,005,000 was planed to support 44
projects. Among them, 20 projects belong to the field of Entomology and 24 projects
belong the field of Plant Pathology. The former costs 18,187,000 and the latter spends
20,818,000. The project mainly focused on diagnoses of plant diseases and pests
control; taxonomical, physiological and molecular studies on plant pests and
pathogens. Combined with the other activities sponsored by NSC, the research and
development in the plant protection field was strengthened.
