Abstract
In synthesizing a spherical four-bar path generator to generate a coupler curve passing through four given path points, and at the same time to coordinate the coupler point movements with three crank rotations, the fixed centre of the driving crank cannot be assumed arbitrarily. The locus of this centre point is a spherical sextic. An example is given. © 1986.
