Abstract
This paper presents an efficient method to deal with the problem of two-dimensional (2-D) angle estimation for Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) radar in the presence of coherent signals. It is well-known that the performance of angle estimation using MIMO radar systems suffers severe degradation due to coherent signals. This paper presents MNTMR (Minimum Noise Toeplitz Matrix Reconstruction) that selects reference signals that create the least noise component when applying Toeplitz Matrix Reconstruction with reduced computational complexity as compared with the existing methods. Simulation results are also presented for confirmation and comparison.
