Abstract
The transformation sequence, PE and DC
of Ti50Ni50 alloy are affected by the grain size
and distribution. The optimal annealing
condition of severely cold-rolled Ti50Ni50
alloy can improve its characteristics through
the recovery, recrystallization and grain
growth. DSC results show that the
inhomogeneity of grain size will exhibit
multi-step transformation. The 90 tensile ℃
test results indicate that the better PE
characteristic can be obtained by the
annealing at lower temperature and shorter
time. DMA results show that the most
significant relaxation peak occurs by the
annealing at medium temperature and long
time. These features indicate that the severely
cold-rolled and annealed Ti50Ni50 alloy can
achieve its properties improvement if the
optimal annealing conditions can be made.
