Abstract
This paper presents an up-conversion single sideband (SSB) IQ mixer with a 3-dB bandwidth of 4-7.5 GHz at cryogenic temperatures. The chip, fabricated using a 28 nm bulk CMOS process, features a low-power, high-conversion-gain design. In addition, a three-stage RC polyphase filter is implemented at the LO port to provide low amplitude and phase imbalance within 3.5-7 GHz. At cryogenic temperature, the SSB IQ mixer achieves a conversion gain of 6.9 dB, with a variation of 1.5 dB across 4-7.5 GHz. It consumes 15.5 mW of power. The mixer exhibits a maximum LO rejection ratio (LORR) of 31.9 dB and an image rejection ratio (IRR) of 22.8 dB.
