Abstract
In 2004 the branch of legal science has
achieved,in addition to its regular research
grant work,including carrying on the ELSI
program,three things as planned.The first has
to do with the search for the paradigm of legal
science by facilitating broad discussions in
the law communities.The first one deals with
applying interdisciplinary methods to the law,
taking amendment of Criminal Procedure Act as
a test case.There are other issues to be
further explored as to the judicial reform
going on.To mention is also the
institutionalization of cross-strait
interchange of Civil Law scholars,which is
very important in terms of accomplishing the
difficult task of codification,which is part
of the infrastructure of the shooting market
economy of China.Last but not least submit a
preliminary draft for renovation of legal education.
