Abstract
This paper proposes an advanced generalized sidelobe canceller (AGSC) for adaptive MIMO radar array beamforming. The well-known Gram-Schmidt orthogonalization (GSO) is utilized to construct a signal blocking (SB) matrix required by the AGSC. The GSO provides an effective way on improving the SB of a generalized sidelobe canceller without requiring complicated algorithmic complexity. Therefore, the proposed adaptive AGSC based MIMO radar beamformer is an appropriate one for dealing with beamforming problem under scenario mismatches. Simulation results are given for confirmation and comparison with the existing methods.
