Abstract
The purpose of this study is to establish the boiler efficiency standards for water tube coal-fired boilers. At present, Taiwan only has boiler efficiency standards for liquid fuel-fired and gas-fired boiler, but not for the coal-fired boiler. Compared with the boiler efficiency standards calculation method from Japan, Canada, UK, Spain, Austria and China, the heat lost method is proposed to be the CNS2141 method to calculate the water tube coal-fired boiler efficiency. After measuring fifteen coal-fired boilers, a new standards of efficiency is proposed for new water tube boilers. We set out the operating conditions and recommended efficiency standards for new water tube coal-fired boilers.
