Abstract
This thesis is about the understanding of China of Su Beng’s Taiwan discourse. Through deeply reading Su Beng’s books, this research tried to analyze his subjectivity concepts(or the ideas of history)from his knowing of the identity and development of Taiwanese. There are three points of view:Han people centralization, excluding China and proletarian centralization. According to the analysis, this thesis confirmed those three ideas of history are the critical elements for Su Beng’s discourse. Then, this research explored the understanding of China behind Su Beng’s subjectivity concepts, and obtained three points of view:China being part of the self-awareness, confronting china, and the rage emotion against China.
The second part of this thesis is about the researching for the development of those three points of view of China above. Through putting Su Beng back to his lifetime to analyze his thinking and identity changing and development, finally confirmed that his identity and thinking were molded by the pull and drag between the culture and ideology of China, Taiwan, and Japan. And his was developing from his changing of identity.
