Abstract
Light scattering by finite arrays of dielectric‐coated metallic nanowires is studied by using the multiple scattering method. The extinction, scattering, and absorption cross sections are determined and their dependence on the number of nanowires in the array is investigated. When the array becomes an infinite one, a pseudospectral time‐domain scheme is employed to calculate these cross sections, and comparison with those of a single nanowire is made.
