Art Licensing and the Copyright Issues of Digital Image

This study is about "art licensing" and "copyright issues of digital image". This study begins with a discussion of the art licensing mechanism. First of all, this study introduces the art licensing mechanism of foreign countries and then it discusses four alternative models for museums to license their images. Secondly, this study analyzes the foreign-based art licensing mechanism under the law of Taiwan.he Second part of this study is about "copyright issues of digital image". Licensing digital images becomes mainstream through the technology of digitalization. Such digital images are obtained by digital photographing the original art works. However, there are many legal issues of such kind of digital images because of their mechanical nature. This study canvass related issues by analyzing law theory and practice. At the end of this study, it concludes the legal status of digital image in copyright law.
