Abstract
Since my summer intern in 2007, I started to work on the data collection and analysis of information of EICC（Electronic Industry Code of Conduct）related topics. I was aware that in Taiwan the electronic device manufacturers including those front-line OEMs or ODMs had encountered the difficulties on how to formulate the relevant code effectively. The enterprises are still in the exploratory stage in figuring out the code’s main concept and auditing its items. ince EICC was proposed lately, it’s difficult to find out the relevant literatures. Furthermore, due to the competition among the enterprises, the documents for EICC are almost internal. Therefore, this study was conducted by literature survey and face-to-face interview. The object in this study was selected from the EICC membership list on the official web site. All of them have adopted EICC and were willing to assist the research. After the in-depth interviews and the substantive investigation, I state my viewpoints and recommendations.t last, this study concludes the essence and influence of pivotal factors in the process of EICC implementation by analyzing interview information and recapitulating collected documents. Besides, this study gives suggestions and feasible solutions for those corporations that have just phased in or will phase in the EICC implementation.
