Abstract
In this study, the efficiency of uni- and bi-directional molecular diffusion in porcine liver tissue sections was studied. Tissue sections on the order of a few hundred microns in thickness were used. We found that bi-directional diffusion is more efficient in delivering probe molecules. Therefore, bi-directional labeling is useful in visualizing tissue architecture in three-dimensions. ? 2021 SPIE. All rights reserved.
