Abstract
Established in 1991, FIH Regent Group is now the largest publicly traded hotelmanagement group in Taiwan. In 2014, the consolidated revenue of Regent even reached NT$6.332 billion. During the development of FIH Regent Group, the hotel group consistently coordinated and deployed the resources in order to strengthen its core competence and adapt to the environment. Until now, the group owns the international luxury hotel brand Regent acquired from Carlson Group in 2010, the lifestyle hotel brand Silks Place, and the affordable business hotel chain Just Sleep. Moreover, the group diversified their business with catering service, mansion management and luxury boutique. This study is aimed to analyze the dynamic capabilities of FIH Regent Group from three different aspects: environment, strategy and execution, find out how this group maintain its competitive advantage, and finally the research will provide some suggestions for local firms to follow.
