Abstract
On the underwater communication, the major obstacle is multipath effects with the shallow water channel. Acoustic signals that propagate through shallow water channel are effected by amplitude distorsion and phase fluctuation. This paper is to quantify the underwater communication experiment analysis, the results of the analysis by the Tamshui River as a major underwater communication test area. The main objective of using the nonlinear equalizer(Decision Feedback Equalization,DFE) to eliminate Inter Symbol Interference(ISI) and compensated to the original signal. This paper presents an experimental analysis of shallow water channel measurements for transmission distance from 50m to 190m in the Tamshui River. The linear and nonlinear equalizer are used for BPSK signal frequency 8kHz with a bit rates of 4kbits/s , compared to Gaussian Beam Method(GBM) simulation of shallow water environment to understand the environment of shallow water channel.
