Abstract
This study is to discuss the fuel cell as solution to energy security and emisssion reduction by reviewing the development progresss of fuel cell around the word to unfold the barriers and outlooks. As the results of the study: the hydrogen economic needs sources of economical hydrogen production, distribution system, storage system, conversion unit and application deployment altogether in place to take off. The strong and long term commitment from the government will remove the high risks bothering the community today. Internaltional collaboration is going to dominate the development of core competence and comprtitive advantages for individual country.
