Abstract
A proto-type ultrasound scanner for
clinical diagnostics had been developed by
the Industrial Technology Research Institute
lately. To promote this proto-type scanner
to be a well-designed product, we propose
this joint project . To achieve this goal, a
research team that consists of engineering
researchers and medical doctors is formed.
Through the team work, we wish to finish the
following works within three years 。
(1)Development and Research of Ultrasound
Transducers
(2)Development and Research of Imaging
Techniques and System architecture.
(3)Development and Research of Clinical
Application Software
(4)Clinical Evaluation
Nine subprojects have been proposed to
acomplish the above works. Technology
support from ITRI and marketing
information from the medical equipment
companies will be poured into this research
group to ensure the success of this project.
Results of clinical evaluation will be
utilized to develope improving schemes for
the proto-type machines。
