Abstract
This study is to explore the impact of factors to the IPO underwriting price of company. This paper not only includes the traditional factors but also examine the relation of IPO underpricing and school ties of executives. This thesis collects a sample of 216 initial public offerings (IPOs) in Taiwan Stock Exchange and use SPSS to analyze the data. Based on our research, we found that the relation of executive’s educational background and IPO underpricing is uncertain. However, other factors related to corporate governance have negative impact to IPO underpricing.
