Abstract
The possibility of film industry is getting a hot issue with the transformation of technology and life style. Film not only contains the culture of one country, the film production itself can also support a industrial chain. That’s why transforming this industry is one of the main policy of modern governments. However, there are some questions to think: What is the role for a government in film production? Could the typical investment ways fulfill the needs of filmmakers? If the Internet can change the shape of democracy, it can also transform the way of film production? This thesis firstly tries to have a general view of film industry, especially the most systematic Hollywood mode; with the understanding of major film financing tools, let’s thinking what is “Crowdfunding” and discover the potential risk and possible solution if filmmakers want to pursue the help of crowdfunding.
