Abstract
In this paper we estimate stochastic world production frontiers econometrically taking country heterogeneity into account. From the estimated frontier we obtain estimates of technical change, technological catch-up (efficiency improvement/convergence), and scale related components of total factor productivity (TFP) growth. © 2005 Elsevier B.V.
