Abstract
Taiwan’s climate is marine tropical with high temperature and relative humidity, thus, household environment is very uncomfortable for living, especially as a result of the high relative humidity. Most of the time, household runs air-conditioner to lower down temperature and relative humidity conventionally, however, they do not realize that this habit results a huge energy consumption. And many researches focused on the themal comfort in air-conditioning system or its saving efficiency. There is not research on the household thermal comfort and the feasibility of energy conservation with respect to using different electrical appliances.his thesis collected the data of indoor temperature, relative humidity, and outdoor temperature, relative humidity, with respect to the energy consumption of dehumidifier; in order to build a model between the states and energy use. With regression analysis, it is found that energy use of dehumidifier in steady stage is mainly affected by indoor temperature, outdoor temperature and relative humidity difference. With the model of energy consumption, it is feasible for household to estimate daily energy use.
