Abstract
In this report, the writer summarizes some
common natural disasters commonly occurred in
Taiwan: flood, r egolith slide, debris slide, r ock talus
or talus cone, earth flow, mud flow, debris flow.
Seemingly, those natural disasters were accelerated by
overemphasized human activities. In Taiwan, human
activities are extremely powerful for geological
environmental modification. It has become extremely
effective in modifying old slops and creating new ones
which very likely are the origin of the natural disasters mentioned above.
