Abstract
In this study, polycarbaozle derivatives were synthesized and polymerized via Yamamoto coupling reaction. Firstly, we synthesized the conjugated polycarbazole P6 which combined the structure characteristics of carbazole in the side chain as host material. Moreover, we synthesized the conjugated polycarbazole P1-P5 which combined the structure characteristics of triphenylamine and oxadiazole in the side chain as blue fluorescent materials. Polymers P1-P5 contained both of electron- and hole-transporting properties to achieve high efficiency. All the polymers were fully characterized by gel permeation chromatography (GPC), thermal gravimetric analyzer (TGA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), photoluminescence spectrophotometer (PL), and electroluminescent (EL) spectroscopy. Lastly, all the polymers were application on the device of polymer light emitting diode, and luminescent properties is discussed. At the results of blue fluorescence devices, device ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P2/TPBi /Mg/Ag has the best performance, turn on voltage is 7.5V, maximum brightness is 104 cd/m2 on 17V, and maximum efficiency is 0.12cd/A on 13.5V. At the results of green phosphorescence devices, device ITO /PEDOT:PSS / P6 + Ir(ppy)3(8 %) + PBD(20%) /Mg /Ag has the best performance, turn on voltage is 7 V, maximum brightness is 1080 cd/m2 on 13V, and maximum efficiency is 0.42cd/A on 13V.
