Abstract
This study develops imaging techniques
for the detection of internal defects in
concrete structures. The transient elastic
wave tests are conducted on the surface of
the target structure. Then, either time domain
or frequency domain signals are used to
construct the image of the internal defect.
The images can be used not only to
determine the location of the internal defect
but also the shape of the defect. Model tests
and in-situ tests are presented to verify the
effectiveness of these methods.
