Abstract
The advent of wireless ad-hoc networks poses lots of new challenges in the provision of system dependability and scalability. On one hand, these networks are drawing substantial attention in the research community because of their various potential applications. On the other hand, their primary characteristics include scarce resources (e.g., bandwidth, battery power, etc.), a dynamic changing topology, and lack of any physical backbone infrastructure
