Abstract
It is recognized that there is a positive correlation between the disease of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and the abnormalities of craniofacial morphology. Thus, an analysis to craniofacial morphology can help doctors to quickly judge the possibility of OSA. To reduce the overheads caused by manual process, an automatic facial analysis system is needed. However, previous systems are designed for adults. Moreover, previous systems do not deal with the calculation of length. Different from previous works, in this paper, we propose an automatic facial analysis system for the detection of pediatric OSA. Based on Hough transform, our system can automatically perform length calculation. Compared with the manual process, experiments on real cases show that the error rate of our system is acceptable.
