Abstract
This study proposes a novel modal decomposition method to reconstruct radiation sources for multiple line structure using magnitude-only magnetic near field. The method formulates the radiation field through a linear combination of modes, rather than using a large number of equivalent dipoles. The coefficients of primary modes are determined using a pattern search optimization. Numerical example of multi-interconnect radiation validates the effectiveness of the proposed method. Results show that providing fan-out information yields a more accurate reconstructed field than the preliminary source location estimate based on the scanned field, improving magnitude accuracy by 12% and complex field accuracy by 94%.
