Abstract
A novel unconditionally stable finite element scheme is incorporated into the conventional FD-TD analysis for solving the Maxwell's equations associated with objects with curved boundary. It is applied to electromagnetic scattering of two dimensional arbitrarily shaped dielectric cylinders to demonstrate its advantages in accuracy, stability, computational efficiency, and programming ease.>
