Abstract
Compal Computer Incorporated is a known Original Design Manufacturer which is specialized in personal computer /notebook computer design and manufacturing. This thesis is based on an actual case study and decision making process for Compal Computer Incorporated to enter the Healthcare industry. Firstly an in-depth introduction to Healthcare industry and those emerging informartion communication technologies (ICT) and cloud computing technologies involved, as well as how they are joingly shaping the future of Healthcare industry, are conducted. Then analyses based on perspectives of corporate strategy, business model, competitive landscape, customers, strategic partners, specific product types to be developed, core technologies to be developed or invested, are elaborated. A conclusion is made based on the approach of SWOT analysis.
