Abstract
A mixed poly (DL-lactide) granule with β-TCP powder composites were developed as a bone substitute in orthopedic surgery. Composites were formed by mel ting and hot compressing technique, eight different weight precentages β-TCP (0 and 30%-60% with 5% increment) were incorporated which was used to control mechanical and biodegradation propertity of the PDLLA matrix. The β-TCP/PDLLA composites were tested for basic mechanical characteristic and soaded in ringer's solution for biodegradation observation. The goal of the developed material was to mach mechanical propertity of the natural bone possibility, and to evaluate biocompatability of the composite.#0562#
