Abstract
We have performed dc electrical resistivity and static magnetic susceptibility measurements on the monophasic polycrystalline superconductor (Gd0.2Ca0.8)Sr2(Tl0.5Pb0.5)Cu2Oy under various magnetic fields up to 5.4 Tesla. Experimental results show that the diamagnetic shielding and the field induced paramagnetism by the magnetic ion Gd persist simultaneously in the sample. © 1989.
