Abstract
Nowadays 2D ultrasonic imaging technique still has some drawback need to overcome. In order to surmount these problems, It is necessary to develop a new 3D ultrasonic imaging technique. In this study, we would illustrate how to control stepping motor and drive the transducers to receive the 3D data of liver. Theoretically, we would discuss the methods of image reconstruction. We used some volume rendering to process 3D ultrasonic image. The volume rendering method includes maximum value projection, average value projection, distance to maximum value, center of gravity, attenuated intensity, ray casting and gradient magnitude projection. By integrating all the methods above and HSV MODEL color display mode, we will have more direct vision of the ultrasonic image. Preliminarily, we use pork liver for the experimental test and then evaluate the efficiency and operational range of the methods of image reconstruction proposed in this study.
