Abstract
Care workers are in the frontline of care service. This paper focused on the communication experience of home care workers regarding Dementia. By face to face interview with four care workers in home care service explores how care workers communicate and harmonize their care environment.
The research result suggests “relation-oriented communication”. First, is the key point to maintain care relationship and influence service process. Second, home care workers do not have the duty to help detect Dementia, but their interaction with the elderly can let us understand our clients better. Third, working time should concern about relationship and autonomy, based on both safety and trust to balance between regulation and flexible care. Moreover, people can lead adaption or mediating to their social system through meaning shared and information given .
