Abstract
This paper develops a model for optimization about quantity of groundwater pumping. For pumping groundwater we can use safety, which must to avoid these two dangerous situations -- land subsidence and soil liquefaction.o, the objective function in this model is the reasonable pumping quantity of groundwater, and constrain function is the height of groundwater-by using ANN to produce the height of groundwater in the next moment. Confining the height of groundwater to a safe range, the maximum or minimum quantity of groundwater pumping will be find.e apply the proposed methodology to Shin-chuang area in Taipei basin, to find reasonable pumping in this area and avoid the situations about land subsidence and soil liquefaction.
