Abstract
With the increase of the data transmission rate, the demand for broadband becomes much greater. However, the skin effect and the dielectric loss which is negligible at low frequencies gradually become significant of transmission at high frequencies. It may restrain the transmission rate and transmission distance, thus become an important topic in the high speed digital transmission.
This thesis investigates the issues of signal integrity in the lossy transmission lines system. A solution based on a high frequency digital equalizer is employed to reconstruct the signal and to compensate for the loss. It has been applied for the loss compensation in FR4 and RG58, for which the ADS is used for circuit implementation and performance simulation.
