Abstract
A perifusion system of isolated rat islets had
been modified, especially to improve the
accurate control for the temperature
conditions. The system provided four mode
of temperature alterations: permanent stable,
6 min period 1oC amplitude, 12 min period
2oC amplitude, 24 min period 4oC amplitude,
to investigate the interaction between the
temperature oscillatory waves and the pulsate
insulin secretions. We found that
oscillatory insulin secretions could be
synchronized in periods by regulating
temperature but not in amplitudes.
