Abstract
Nursing has always been an indispensable part of the healthcare system. Nursing science plays a crucial role in enhancing healthcare outcomes and promoting healthier lives. This issue of The Journal of Nursing Research includes eight remarkable studies that beautifully demonstrate how nursing science can contribute to advancing the health of people worldwide. The article “Validation of the Korean Version of the Assessment of Strategies in Families-Effectiveness Scale” provides researchers and clinicians with a valid and reliable tool that can be used to assess and strengthen family health in the Korean context. The randomized controlled trial “Exploring the Effectiveness of Group Cognitive Stimulation Training in People with Schizophrenia” shows that nurses in mental healthcare settings can utilize this training regimen to improve cognitive and social function in clients with schizophrenia. Nurse scientists study complex health issues that require the use of psychometrically sound instruments. Randomized controlled trials provide nurses with high-quality evidence that can inform clinical practice and optimize health outcomes. This issue of The Journal of Nursing Research also includes a focused ethnography study that helps nurses and healthcare professionals better understand the beliefs and challenges faced by patients with severe mental illness in managing their diabetic diets. Through these eight research studies, we witness the power of nursing science to effectively address pressing health issues and achieve the goal of healthier lives for all. "Embrace Nursing Science, Empower Healthier Lives" is more than a slogan; it is our commitment. As we continue to advance in the field of nursing, we pave the way for a brighter future where health and care positively impact lives worldwide.
