Abstract
We study the paper of Ronald, Yang and Chu that was recently published in the International Journal of Production Economics to find the optimal solution for the EOQ and EPQ models without derivatives. We will offer a simple algebraic method to replace their sophisticated algebraic skill, and then we point out a possible direction for further research. © 2004 Published by Elsevier B.V.
