Abstract
The purpose of this study was
determine the effects of hormones on
progesterone production and apoptosis
induction of carprine luteal cell line by
using in vitro strategy. Furthermore, to
examine the hormone effect on life span of
corpus luteum and ability of
steroidogenesis. In this study, we use a
caprine luteal cell line (GLC-D) with
temperature sensitive SV40 virus, which
established in our laboratory. In 40 ℃
culture system, we found that the treatment
of estrogen(100ng/ml) for 24 hours can
induce apoptosis of this cell line, and
decrease progesterone production from this
cell line. The inhibition effect of E2 may
include inhibition steroidogenesis enzyme
synthesis. In conclusion, the results
demonstrated that the inhibition of
steroidogenesis could induced apoptosis of
carpine luteal cell line, and increase DNA
fragmentation and 3’end labeling DNA
fragment , the mechanism is not clear yet
and further studies will be done.
