Abstract
Genus Glycine consists of two
subgenus, subgenus Glycine and
subgenus Soja. Taiwan is the
southernmost collection site of the
subgenus Glycine and northernmost of
subgenus Soja. Five species of the
genus Glycine have been found in
Taiwan, G. max 、G. soja 、 G.
tomentella 、 G. tabacina and G.
dolichocarpa. G. dolichocarpa was first
separated from species G. tomentella in
1991 by Tateishi and Ohashi. However,
this statement is not accepted by most
of other scientists working on Glycine
species.
The materials used included
cultivated soybean, wild soybean and
some perennial soybean relative
accessions. We will also perform
cytogenetic analysis in order to know
the chromosome number of each
accession. We also had established the
2D gel analysis system for the seed
proteins of 10 accessions, and found out
the different protein spots within or
among interested accessions.
